Opened in 1997, Freed-Hardeman University's Brewer Sports Center is the home of the Lion and Lady Lion basketball teams and the Lady Lion volleyball team. The athletics department offices are also located in the building.
The Sports Center houses three racquetball courts, including one with a plexiglass wall that allows games to be watched from the hallway. Students, faculty, staff, and LionBackers all have free access to the courts during scheduled hours of operation.
The Mac Felts Hall of Fame Room honors former FHU athletes who have been named to the Freed-Hardeman Sports Hall of Fame. Plaques commemorating their accomplishments line the east wall and a trophy case adorns the south wall. The room also serves as a conference and meeting room for the athletic department and teams and the hospitality room during home basketball games.
The upper level of the gymnasium has a 1/11th mile walking track that is open to the community as well as students, faculty, and staff.
The Sports Center houses a weight room and a training room with a full-time training staff.
