As a Lady Lion

Grace Alonso de Armiño came to Henderson from Bilbao, Spain and quickly made her presence known, bucketing six points and pulling down nine rebounds in her collegiate debut.

Her sophomore season was Alonso de Armiño's breakthrough campaign, more than doubling her freshman year's point average from 4.1 points per game to 8.8 points per game. She tallied her first double-double on December 8, 2012, with a 17-point performance to match her 10 rebounds.

Alonso de Armiño headlined the 2013-14 edition of the FHU Lady Lions, helping to lead Freed-Hardeman to their first national championship appearance.

In her final year, Alonso de Armiño ended her career with a bang, posting career highs in rebounds (24), steals (9), and points in a 32-point effort in the American Midwest Conference semifinals.

Alonso de Armiño's name was throughout the Lady Lion record books at the time of her induction. Her 2014-15 season rebounding average was a tie for the most rebounds per game in a single season (12.5) and in 2013-14 placed sixth for most rebounds in a single season (416).

In her career, she made her mark by playing in 141 games, the sixth most in FHU history. Her 8.4 rebounds per game placed her in seventh place in Lady Lion history, and her 236 steals are the seventh-best career total in program history.
