Sarah Elizabeth Cousar Poston played at FHU under Coach Todd Humphry, and she started for the Lady Lions softball team for four years. Poston was a team captain and received All-Conference honors in all four years at FHU. 

The former two-way player holds the softball record at FHU for all-time wins as a pitcher with 76, and she is the career record holder for innings pitched at 728. She also has 86 complete games, another program record. At the plate, Poston hit .335 and .365 in consecutive seasons.

“(Sarah) was such an impact player for us,” Humphry said. “What she was able to do throughout her career helped put us on the national stage.”

Poston helped lead the Lady Lions to their first NAIA National Tournament appearance in 2013, and she ended her career with an ERA of 2.0. She was described as the “Ultimate team player” by Humphry. 

“To be named to the FHU Sports Hall of Fame is such a great honor, “ Poston said. “I feel very humble, and I know I could not have achieved this award without the drive of my teammates, the faith the coach Humphry showed in me and the constant love from my parents. All glory to God.”

Poston is currently teaching and coaching softball at Covington High School in Covington,Tennessee, and she is married to Henderson native Graham Poston.
