HENDERSON, Tenn. — After dropping the first game of the series with Georgetown (Ky.) College, the No. 3 Lady Lions of Freed-Hardeman University bounced back with a 9-0 win in five innings. Chloe Winters recorded a three-strikeout no-hitter for the win.

The Lady Lions (6-4, 1-1 MSC) struck first in the bottom of the first inning after Karli Quillin was hit by a pitch before moving to second on a wild pitch. With Sophie Dunavant's single to the right side, Quillian wrapped around and scored the day's first run.

Georgetown (9-8, 3-3 MSC) would fall behind further in the second inning in a similar way to the first inning when Cassie Hayes drew a one-out walk before a wild pitch allowed her to advance to second. With Madelyn Crabb's single past the Tiger shortstop, Hayes would tally the Lady Lions' second run.

The big inning for FHU was the bottom of the third when the Lady Lions batted around to plate seven runs. After reaching via a single and a double, respectively, Myleah Hardy joined Quillin at the plate, scoring on Catherine Crabb's double to left. Anna Kate Norton's sacrifice fly brought home Dunavant who reached on a walk before M. Crabb's bases-loaded walk brought home C. Crabb. After reaching on a double earlier in the frame, Hayes would score on a groundout before Quilling's two-bagger plated both M. Crabb and Brinley Cousar to end the seven-run output and give the Lady Lions the 9-0 advantage.

With the Lady Lions scoreless in the bottom of the fourth and the Tigers coming up empty in the fourth and fifth innings, FHU claimed the run-rule victory 9-0 after five.

Chloe Winters (2-2) forced the Tigers to keep the ball in play, striking out three and walking one in the no-hitter.

Karli Quillin led the FHU bats with a 2-2 day, driving in a pair. Six other FHU hits would be spread across the lineup.
