HENDERSON, Tenn. — Myleah Hardy's solo shot in the sixth inning walked the Georgetown (Ky.) College Tigers off after six innings as the No. 3 Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions won the game and the series with an 8-0 final.

The Lady Lion (7-4, 2-1 MSC) starter Brittany Adair escaped danger in the top of the first inning after walking the bases loaded, but the senior settled down to strike the next batter out to leave all three Tigers stranded.

After sitting the GC Tigers (9-9, 3-3 MSC) down in order for the top of the second inning, FHU drew blood in the bottom of the frame after Cassie Hayes had a one-out walk before moving to second thanks to Brinley Cousar's sacrifice bunt. Madelyn Crabb continued her big day at the dish, singling home Hayes to put the Lady Lions on the board.

Karli Quillin opened the bottom of the third with a single, moving up 60 feet after stealing second base. After Catherine Crabb drew a walk, it was Anna Kate Norton's single that drove home Quillin to give FHU a 2-0 lead. Hayes would then clear the bases with a three-run homer to left, her second long ball of the season to put the Lady Lions on top 5-0.

After Sophie Dunavant led off the bottom of the fifth with a single, her courtesy runner, Natalie Gilmore, scored on Hayes' groundout. Norton tallied another base hit, scoring the Lady Lions' seventh run thanks to Cousar's RBI double.

Three Lady Lions aired three fly balls to center field to start the bottom of the sixth with two being recorded as outs before Hardy's second homer of the year ending the day early with an 8-0 win.

Brittany Adair (5-2) struck out nine Tigers in the win, allowing four hits in the shutout.

Brinley Cousar and Anna Kate Norton both tallied two base hits, while Cassie Hayes was the top run-producer by driving in four Lady Lions.
