PULASKI, Tenn. — Winning their second consecutive Mid-South Conference series, the No. 14 Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions needed just five innings to claim a 10-0 victory over the University of Tennessee Southern.

Continuing their one-two punch, the Lady Lions (14-6, 7-3 MSC) got on board quickly after Kennedy Harris-Bennett's leadoff single was followed two batters later by Myleah Hardy's season's sixth homer to put FHU ahead 2-0.

After the UTS (10-17, 2-12 MSC) pitcher recorded back-to-back strikeouts in the top of the second frame, Brinley Cousar tallied an infield single before being brought home by Harris-Bennett's (7) two-run blast to left field. With two frames in the books, the Lady Lions held a 4-0 edge.

With one down in the top of the fourth inning, Karli Quillin joined Hardy with back-to-back singles. The former would tap home plate thanks to Sophie Dunavant's RBI double, with the latter scoring off of the bat of Catherine Crabb to put the Lady Lions on top 6-0.

The fifth frame proved to be the best for the Lady Lions when Dunavant singled home both Quillin and Harris-Bennett, only to be chased by a two-run double from Crabb to score Dunavant and Hardy to finish the scoring to give FHU the 10-0 victory.

In the circle, Brittany Adair (8-4) allowed just one hit in four innings of work, striking out six. Pitching the bottom of the fifth inning, Katelyn Bradford's scoreless inning helped FHU to the combined shutout.

Catherine Crabb and Sophie Dunavant were lethal from the dish, with both seniors driving in three runs each. Behind them were Myleah Hardy and Kennedy Harris-Bennett both driving in two runs on two hits. Karli Quillin joined Dunavant with a three-hit afternoon.
