KINGSPORT, Tenn. — Freed-Hardeman University sent out 12 Lady Lions in their first contest away from the Brewer Sports Center. 11 of those put their names in the book with points on the way to a 71-44 win over Trinity International (Ill.) University's Trojans in the first game of "The Show."

FHU (7-0, 3-0 MSC) kept their perfect season intact with strong play in the paint. 12 of FHU's 25 points in the first quarter came from inside the key. Rachel Satterly got the scoring started from the charity stripe, with the frame's 3-pointers coming from Kelsey Bender and Taryn Kile to hold a 25-9 score at the end of 10.

Trinity International (2-5, 1-3 CCAC) out-rebounded the Lady Lions 10-6 in the second frame, but FHU's offense continued to perform well. Katie Arms, Julieth Rivera Morales both recorded their first career points in the second quarter, with Arms joining Satterly with 3-point jumpers. Morgan Quick posted her career's first points with a buzzer-beating layup to send FHU to the break on top 43-20.

The third quarter turned into a 3-point contest, with FHU and TIU combining for six long balls. After Elli Chumley started the quarter with a layup, KJ White knocked down a triple, with Raegan Purvine's 3-point field goal giving FHU their largest lead at 31 points. A pair of Trojan 3-pointers ended the third quarter with FHU ahead 58-33.

With the starting five out for the majority of the fourth quarter, the Lady Lion bench tallied 12 points to keep the pressure on TIU. FHU pulled down six offensive rebounds in the final 10 minutes, recording five second-chance points to keep FHU unbeaten with a 71-44 final.

Rachel Satterly and KJ White both led the Lady Lions with 11 points. Kelsey Bender was FHU's rebound leader with seven boards. Only attempting two shots in 14 minutes of play, Kalea Fleming used her time on the floor to help her teammates out, dishing a team-high four assists.
