HENDERSON, Tenn. — KJ White dropped 24 points in Thursday night's contest to lead the Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions to victory over the Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College Blue Raiders. The Trenton native's 24 points were the most the senior scored in her career as she help led FHU to a 57-38 win.

The Lady Lions (13-4, 8-4 MSC) were off and running by holding the visiting Blue Raiders scoreless over the first half of the quarter. Elli Chumley bucketed a layup before White followed with her fourth point. Madisyn Baugher notched a 3-pointer before a scoop and score. The Blue Raiders would tally their first points at 5:17 before finishing the quarter seeing FHU ahead 13-4.

Lindsey Wilson (8-10, 2-10 MSC) began to find the hoop in the second quarter, first with a jumper at 7:16 before Raegan Purvine netted a 3-pointer to push FHU's lead to 15. FHU continued to push into the paint, bucketing 28 points in the game from inside the lane. A layup from Kalea Fleming ended the opening half with the Lady Lions ahead 32-18.

Purvine opened the third quarter the same way she ended the second, by knocking down a 3-pointer. A five-point run by LWC narrowed the gap for the Blue Raiders, who now trailed by 11 points. But White's triple and Kelsey Bender's jumper kept Lindsey Wilson at bay in the third quarter, ending it leading 43-28.

The Lady Lions stood tall at the charity stripe in the fourth quarter, namely, KJ White, who scored all six attempted free throws by the Lady Lions in the final frame. Joined by Baugher, Purvine, and Satterly, the Lady Lions shut down the Blue Raiders to claim victory 57-38.

White's 24-point night broke a set of 21-point outings last recorded in 2019. She also pulled down a team-high seven rebounds and dished out a team-high five assists. Raegan Purvine tallied 10 points, and grabbed two steals.
