Brittany Bradford
Lauded as one of the most prolific players in Lady Lion softball history, Brittany Bradford never disappointed when she was in the lineup. During her time as a Lady Lion she set nine offensive records that have yet to be broken. Throughout her career, Bradford hit .385 and compiled an On-Base percentage of .436, which rank her No. 1 in both categories. Bradford has also set career and season records for most hits and doubles, as she compiled a season-high 68 hits and 20 doubles while achieving a career-high 205 hits and 44 doubles. Defensively, Bradford served as the primary catcher for current Hall of Fame pitcher Tarrah Tucker.
Bradford also received attention at the conference level, as she was a four-time All-Conference selection after earning Second-Team honors her freshman season and First-Team All-Conference honors throughout her sophomore and senior seasons.
“Brittany is the hardest working player I have ever coached”, said Todd Humphry, head coach for the Lady Lion softball program. “Her work ethic and determination off the field was matched by no one. From the weight room to the batting cages, she was determined to be her best.”
Bradford graduated from Freed-Hardeman in 2009 with a degree in Exercise Science. Following graduation, she joined the Army and served as an Intelligence Analyst with the 2nd Heavy Brigade Combat team. At the time of her induction, Bradford served as a Military Police Officer in the 82nd Sustainment Brigade in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
