Lions' season ends in championship game
The (RV) Freed-Hardeman University Lions got the opportunity to face off against the Georgia Gwinnett Grizzlies for the third matchup in three days, with the Lions forcing the "if necessary" ballgame by the efforts of Houston High last evening. Unfortunately, the Lions fell to the Grizzlies by a score of 7-1. Sean Rooney was the Lions' leading hitter, collecting two of the team's four hits in the morning contest.

Needing to beat the top-seeded Georgia Gwinnett College Grizzlies twice to punch their ticket to the Avista College World Series, the No. 2 seed Freed-Hardeman University Lions took care of business to force the "if-necessary" game nine with a 7-6 victory on Wednesday night.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — With their backs to the wall, the No. 2 seed Freed-Hardeman University Lions made the No. 3 seed Concordia (Neb.) University Bulldogs pay for four errors, scoring seven unearned runs in an 11-8 victory to advance to the regional final.

After winning their first game of the NAIA Baseball National Tournament, the No. 2 seed Freed-Hardeman University Lions were on the wrong end of a 21-4 final score at the hands of the No. 1 seed Georgia Gwinnett College Grizzlies.

Lions take advantage of Bulldogs errors
The (RV) Freed-Hardeman University Lions started on the right foot in the Lawrenceville bracket with an excellent team win over the Concordia University (NE) Bulldogs. The Lions beat the Bulldogs by a score of 7 to 4 as the Lions outhit the Bulldogs by eight hits to their seven hits.

Rain washes away MSC title hopes
Needing to win two games on Sunday to win the Mid-South Conference Tournament, the Kentucky spring weather had other ideas. After one delay of three hours, the (RV) Freed-Hardeman University Lions and the No. 7 University of the Cumberlands Patriots hit the field just long enough to play the required five innings before another bout of rain halted the game after the fifth inning with a 4-1 final.
