Bio

A few months after relinquishing command of the Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lion volleyball team, and a few weeks after finishing his 23rd season at the helm of the Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lion softball team, Todd Humphry will assume a new role within the athletic department's administration as Assistant Athletic Director.

"Todd has been a valuable part of this department for over two decades," mentioned FHU Athletic Director Jonathan Estes. "His abilities in leading two different sports to their national tournaments, serving as Brewer Sports Center building manager, and having three kids come through the FHU athletic department, have given him a lot of perspective and experience. I am excited for him to utilize those in an even bigger way while serving our student-athletes and continuing to improve the game-day experience for all of our fans, players, opponents, coaches, and officials."

Humphry will use his decades of coaching experience to help facilitate a better game-day experience for student-athletes, coaches, and fans. In addition to game-day operations and management, Humphry will use his talents to help coordinate fundraising for the department.

"I am very blessed to have this opportunity to work with our coaches, staff, and the university in this position," said Humphry. "I Love Freed-Hardeman and will enjoy working to make the student-athlete experience the best it can be. I look forward to working closely with Coach Estes and appreciate this opportunity."

FHU President David Shannon said of Humphry's promotion, "Todd has made a positive impact on FHU athletics for more than 20 years, coaching multiple sports with great success. His new role as Assistant Athletic Director will allow him to impact all of athletics, which will help advance the mission of FHU for His glory."

Humphry will continue as the skipper for the Lady Lion softball team which finished two games short of a return to the NAIA Softball World Series. For the second consecutive year, Coach Humphry and FHU hosted the opening round of the national tournament.
