Spring's three-hit day leads Lions to victory

HENDERSON, Tenn. — The (RV) Freed-Hardeman University Lions defeated the Saint Francis (Ind.) University Cougars 13-4. The offense led the Lions with eleven total hits.
After the Lions (5-3) defeated the Cougars (0-2) earlier, they looked to build on their victory.
To get the offense rolling in the top of the first, Will McCall walked which was followed up by a two-run home run by Sean Rooney (2). In the bottom of the third inning, the Lions added on three more home runs by Mason Libla (2), Brady Spring (1), and Will McCall (2).
Colton Huntt led the charge for the Lions on the mound. Huntt totaled three innings of work and added two strikeouts as well. Following his performance, Patrick Cantrell, Riley Hamilton, Mason Morgan, and Blake Bax. Riley Hamilton (1-0) was accredited with the win.

The Lions will be back in action Saturday, February 11th, to face Saint Francis in another doubleheader. The first game at Five Wells Field has an anticipated first-pitch start time set for 12:00 p.m.
