Huey and Helton garner MSC Baseball Player of the Week honors

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Pikeville's (Ky.) Noah Helton and Freed-Hardeman's (Tenn.) Alex Huey have been named MSC Baseball Players of the Week, announced conference officials Monday.

MSC Baseball Player of the Week

Noah Helton – Pikeville (Ky.) – Gr.- OF – Somerset, Ky.

• Helton recorded a hit in four of five games, including two multi-hit performances.
• The graduate student hit .583, recording an on-base percentage of .750.
• He crushed three home runs, totaling 11 RBIs in the five-game span.
• This is his second consecutive MSC weekly honor.

MSC Baseball Pitcher of the Week

Alex Huey – Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) – Sr. – LHP – Chapel Hill, Tenn.

• Huey's pitching led the Lions to a 2-1 win over Mobile.
• The senior pitched seven complete innings, allowing just two hits and a walk.
• He struck out nine in the win and became FHU's career strikeout leader.
• This is his second career MSC weekly award.
