Huey and Hughes Named MSC Baseball Players of the Week

MSC Baseball Player of the Week

Tyner Hughes – Cumberland (Tenn.) – Jr. – UT – Dyer, Tenn.

    •    Hughes went 6-12 at the plate, crushing three home runs and totaling nine RBIs.

    •    His performance helped the Phoenix to three wins, including a conference series win over Shawnee State.

    •    This is Hughes’ first MSC weekly award of the season.

MSC Baseball Pitcher of the Week

Alex Huey – Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) – Sr. – LHP – Chapel Hill, Tenn.

    •    Huey held the Blue Raiders scoreless in an impressive nine inning complete effort.

    •    He struck out seven and allowed just three hits and a single walk.

    •    The Lions defeated the Blue Raiders in the first round of the MSC Tournament.

    •    This is Huey’s second MSC weekly award of the season.
