Lions honored with academic, Key chosen as Champion of Character

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The Mid-South Conference announced baseball's Academic All-Conference and Champions of Character teams. The Lions had 16 players honored, tied for third-best in the league.
JP Key was selected as FHU's Champion of Character. According to the MSC, "The MSC recognizes a Champions of Character Team for each championship sport. The student-athletes that are honored on the Champions of Character Team were nominated by their coaches based on their leadership on campus and in the community while demonstrating the five core character values of the NAIA." Selected by Coach Jess Trask, Key showed the five core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
Also announced on Monday was the Academic All-Conference team. By maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.25 on a 4.00 scale, these student-athletes in at least their third term were honored:
