BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — As they compete for a Mid-South Conference Tournament title, seven members of the (RV) Freed-Hardeman University baseball program were chosen as All-Conference players. Three were selected for the first team, two for the second team, while two others were honorably mentioned. Mason Libla and Alex Huey were also awarded the Gold Glove for their positions. Zach Sanders picked up a Gold Glove at shortstop after previously winning the award at second base.

Anchoring the Lions behind the plate, Mason Libla was chosen for the first team. With pop in his bat, Libla tallied 10 home runs while holding a .522 slugging percentage. Leading the Lion's hitting, Will McCall smashed a team-high 15 long balls, while maintaining a blistering .405 average with a .767 slugging percentage. Christian Presley set up the Lions for success at the leadoff spot, collecting 66 hits including a team-high 19 doubles.

On the second team, Alex Huey heard his name called often in Henderson. The fifth-year senior broke FHU's career wins, strikeouts, and innings-pitched records. In 2023, Huey held a 7-4 record with 81 strikeouts and a 3.23 ERA. Zach Sanders also broke a set of FHU records, officially playing in more games than any other Lion in history in addition to breaking the career at-bats mark. This season, the Mt. Juliet native hit .331 with 30 RBI.

Selected as an honorable mention, Colton Huntt ended the year with a 5.15 ERA in 71 2/3 innings of action where he struck out 76 batters. Sean Rooney was second on the squad with 54 runs batted in with a .367 on-base percentage.

The Lions will take on the Saints of Thomas More (Ky.) University in the second round of the Mid-South Conference Championship.
