KANSAS CITY, Mo. — While Freed-Hardeman's season ended two games away from the NAIA College World Series in Lewiston, Idaho, one FHU Lion earned one of the top distinctions with Will McCall being selected to the All-America First Team.

Voted as the best third baseman in the country, McCall had the highest averages on the team with a .389 batting average, and a .717 slugging percentage, while holding an on-base percentage of .527.

The graduate student led the Lions with 18 home runs while planting his name on the FHU history books with his career's 61st double, the most by any player in a Freed-Hardeman uniform. He also found himself in second place in FHU career marks for home runs (46), runs batted in (198), and games played (226).

According to his head coach, Jess Trask, "McCall is a tremendous player and is so deserving of this accolade. The guy showed up and put fear into opposing pitchers all season and throughout his career. It was an absolute privilege to have him in our dugout." Trask continued, "He is one of the best to do it in a Lions uniform, and future players putting on the number 28 jersey will have big shoes to fill but an exceptional example to follow."
