COLUMBIA, Ky. — The Freed-Hardeman Lion soccer team continues their hunt to snap a winless skid after falling to Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College Saturday night. The Blue Raiders fired 28 shots toward the FHU net, defeating the Lions 8-0.

Freed-Hardeman (4-12-1, 0-8-1 MSC) fell behind early after a goal from Lindsey Wilson's Monwabisi Mngqibisa - the first of his night's four tallies - at 8:25. The Lions got shots off in the first half from Joao Pedro and Thabo Mahlaha before heading to the break trailing 1-0.

The Blue Raiders (6-6-3, 5-3-1 MSC) would then explode for seven goals in the second 45 minutes of play, tallying their second goal of the night a little more than a minute into the half at 46:13. LWC found the back of the net three times within two minutes to go ahead 5-0, before spreading out their final three goals before the final whistle.

Seth Janiec sent FHU's lone shot on goal at 64:22 but was kept out by the LWC goalie.

Omer Shifris was busy from start to finish, keeping out six saves in the losing effort.
