Tennessee club champion joins Lion soccer

NASHVILLE — With the summer in full swing, Coach Jason Elliott continues to look to the 2023 season by signing McGavock High School's Braiden Logan.

The incoming freshman played his club ball with Wilson United Soccer Club while winning the 2020-21 Tennessee State Championship as a defender with Tennessee United.

As a McGavock High School Raider, Logan helped lead his team to a 9-3-4 record while recording the most assists by a right back in 3A District 10.

"We look forward to Braiden coming to join us in August," said Elliott. "He is an impressive young man who wants to be in this atmosphere and will really flourish here on and off the field."

Intending to major in digital design or photography, Logan said he chose Freed-Hardeman because "I am a Christian and it is also my dream to play college soccer. It is a perfect fit."

FHU soccer is scheduled to kick off the 2023 campaign on August 22 at Central Baptist (Ark.) College
