Men's track and field honored by MSC, Drew Williams a Champion of Character

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The Mid-South Conference announced the Men's Track and Field Academic All-Conference and Champions of Character teams. The Lions had five runners honored.

According to the MSC, "The MSC recognizes a Champions of Character Team for each championship sport. The student-athletes that are honored on the Champions of Character Team were nominated by their coaches based on their leadership on campus and in the community while demonstrating the five core character values of the NAIA." Coach Derrick Spradlin's nomination went to Drew Williams for showing the five core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.

Also announced on Friday was the Academic All-Conference team. By maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.25 on a 4.00 scale, these student-athletes in at least their third term were honored:

Elliha Baker

Jamison Brock

Jacob England

Nathan Mangrum

Matthew Ray
