FHU Cross Country runners earn Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete awards

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Wrapping up the awards for the fall sports is the announcement of the Daktronics NAIA Men's and Women's Cross Country Scholar-Athlete teams.

According to the NAIA, "The 2022 list features 467 student-athletes that achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution."

For the men, junior Jamison Brock and Nathan Mangrum qualified. Seniors Jacob England and Matthew Ray also earned the award.

On the women's side, 609 student-athletes were selected across the nation with FHU's winners all being seniors: Addison BurchettZena Dorris Casey Jackson, and Isabella Minor.
