HENDERSON, Tenn. — After celebrating seniors Madisyn Baugher, Raegan Purvine, and KJ White, the (RV) Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions got back in the win column in a big way, putting away the University of Tennessee Southern FireHawks 87-27.

Returning to the Brewer Sports Center after a three-game road swing, the Lady Lions (18-9, 12-9 MSC) were immediately welcomed back with a first quarter in which five 3-pointers found the hoop. Rachel Satterly got the scoring started with a triple at 9:23 before Madisyn Baugher's long ball gave FHU the lead they would never relinquish. After Satterly tacked on five more points, Raegan Purvine tallied a 3-point field goal before Satterly's 11th point of the quarter touched the nylon to end the first quarter with the Lady Lions leading 19-7.

An offensive rebound helped the UTS FireHawks (6-20, 3-18 MSC) record the first points of the second quarter before Satterly continued her hot shooting, knocking down back-to-back threes followed by a jumper in the paint. At the 1:57 mark of the frame, senior KJ White stripped the ball away from UTS, going coast to coast to record her career's 1,000th point on the fast break. Purvine's 3-pointer put an exclamation mark on a 37-14 first half in favor of the Lady Lions.

The Freed-Hardeman second half has been what FHU's offense has leaned on and Thursday night's contest continued the trend by tallying 25 points in both the third and the fourth quarters. After connecting for 22 points in the first half, Satterly continued the offensive outpouring by hitting her seventh 3-pointer of the night to start the back half. FHU would then feed it into the paint, where their next 10 points were recorded. Ending the third frame on a 10-0 run, the Lady Lions were ahead 62-22.

With the starters on the bench a majority of the final quarter, the underclasswomen kept the momentum going with Taryn Kile knocking down back-to-back 3-pointers before Morgan Quick's long ball put the cap on a 15-0 run. The Lady Lions outscored the FireHawks 25-5 in the final 10 minutes to collect the 87-27 victory.

The Lady Lions had one of their best nights from the floor, tallying a 57% mark from the field while their 16 3-point field goals tied for the fourth-most in program history.

Rachel Satterly's offensive output matched the FireHawks' by connecting for 27 points on the heels of a 10-14 game from the field, including 7-11 from long range. Madisyn Baugher celebrated her senior night with a 10-point effort. Kelsey Bender led the Lady Lions on the glass, pulling down nine rebounds.
