Baugher honored as CSC Academic All-District

GREENWOOD, Ind. — Hours before tipping off the 2022-23 Mid-South Conference basketball tournament, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced that Madisyn Baugher was selected as a member of the CSC Academic All-District team.
Completing her undergraduate degree with a flawless 4.0 GPA, Baugher has continued that perfection with a 4.0 at Freed-Hardeman in her pursuit of her Master's of Business Administration. In addition to her hard work in the classroom, Baugher has been a mainstay for the Lady Lions, starting all 26 games while averaging 9.4 points per game while leading FHU defensively with a team-high 35 steals and 15 blocks.

According to CSC:
"The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid March. The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed at the links above.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office."
