Lady Lions kick off Spring season in Mobile

MOBILE, Ala.- The women's golf team teed it up for the first time in 2023 in the Ram Invitational hosted by the University of Mobile. The Lady Lions played at RTJ Magnolia Grove and shot 348 in their opening round.
Junior Bailey Gilbert led the team's score with an 84 (+12). Next was sophomore Reagan Malone one stroke behind Gilbert with an 85 (+13). Freshman Makenzie Wilson shot 89 (+17) with senior Camille Blaylock one stroke behind her with 90 (+18). Sophomore Riya Key rounded out the teams score one stroke behind Blaylock with a 91 (+19).
The Lady Lions are in a tie for sixth with the University of Mobile (Ala). They trail Blue Mountain Christian University (Miss) by 21 strokes and are ahead of Point University (Ga.) by 7 strokes. The second round begins at 8am on Tuesday.
