Lady Lions move up leaderboard in Mobile

MOBILE, Ala. - The women's golf team improved in the second round of the 2023 Mobile Invite. The Lady Lions made up 19 strokes on the second round by shooting 329 as a team.
Bailey Gilbert improved 7 strokes on her first round by firing 77 (+5) as freshman Makenzie Wilson also improved by 10 strokes shooting 79 (+7). Senior Camille Blaylock made up 6 shots with a final round 84 (+12). Sophomore Regan Malone shot a final round 89 (+17) with fellow sophomore Riya Key one stroke behind her with a 90 (+18).
The Lady Lions were able to surpass the University of Mobile (Ala.) on the leaderboard. The Lions and the Rams were tied for 6th place at the end of the first round, and the Lions took 5th place by 4 shots.
Up next for the Lady Lions is the FHU Spring Invitational. The Lions will host at Turtle Point Yacht and Country Club on March 6-7th.
