Two Lady Lions finish top 10, team finishes third

KILLEN, AL.- The Lady Lions moved up on the leaderboard in the final round of the FHU Spring Invitational. The team shot 349 the second day, putting them in a solo third place finish.
Junior Bailey Gilbert improved on her first round score. Her 77 (+7) gave her a 6th place finish. Freshman Makenzie Wilson also improved her first total by shooting 87 (+15). Regan Malone took home a 7th place finish. The sophomore shot 90 (+18) in her second round. Junior Sara Browning shot a final round 93 (+21) and senior Camille Blaylock shot 95 (+23). Sophomore Riya Key competed individually and shot 88 (+16) in her final round.
The team finished in third place at Turtle Point Yacht and Country Club. They beat Bethel University (Tenn.) by one stroke. Up next for the women's golf team is the Blue Mountain Christian University (Miss.) Spring Golf Classic on March 20-21st at the Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi.
