Lady Lions finish 7th in MSC tournament

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Lady Lions maintained their 7th place spot over Bethel University in the Mid-South Conference Championship at the Bowling Green Country Club. The team finished up the tournament by shooting 327 in the second round and 330 in the final round.
Bailey Gilbert led the team this week. The junior shot 75 (+3) in her second round followed by a final round 81 (+9), giving her a T17 finish. Next was freshman Makenzie Wilson who shot 83 (+11) followed by 84 (+12), placing her in a tie for 25th place. Following Wilson was sophomore Riya Key who shot a pair of 84s (+12). Next was junior Sara Browning who shot 86 (+14) and 81 (+9). Rounding out the team was senior Camille Blaylock. Blaylock finished out her college golf career by shooting 85 (+13) followed by 88 (+16).
The Lady Lions held on to their first round position as they finished 11 strokes behind the University of Pikeville (Ky.) and were 14 strokes ahead of Bethel University (Tenn.).
