CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — The Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions took the field on a cold Tuesday night against the (RV) Campbellsville (Ky.) Tigers. Despite the hard-fought 90 minutes, the Lady Lions left Finley Stadium with a loss, falling to the Tigers 3-0.

FHU (5-9-1, 1-7-0 MSC) hoped they had quelled an early attempt by the Tigers, with Brooke Latham laying out to make a save, but the rebound try from Campbellsville's Angeline Kieh saw the Lady Lions down at 7:24.

The following 10 minutes went by uneventfully, with the Tigers (7-5-0, 5-3-0 MSC) and Lady Lions engaged in a midfield battle before a shot by Agatha Nimene at 17:15 put the hosts ahead by two goals. The early pressure from the Tigers continued, as they piled on 14 first-half tries, tallying their final goal of the game in the 41st minute.

All three shots by the girls in maroon were on target but kept out by the Campbellsville goalies. Sara Becerra and Haley Miller sent shots toward the net in the first half, with Cameryn Kime attempting the lone shot in the second half.

Brooke Latham continues to stand strong in the box, racking up nine saves while facing 23 total shots in the losing effort.
