Lady Lions fall to #16 Blue Raiders

COLUMBIA, Ky. — Freed-Hardeman took their final regular season road trip to Kentucky where they matched up with No. 16 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College. The hosting Blue Raiders netted three goals in each half to best the Lady Lions 6-0.

FHU (5-10-1, 1-8-0 MSC) held strong over the first 20 minutes of the match, with keeper Brooke Latham stopping four quick attempts by LWC before the Blue Raiders got on the board at 23:07. The Lady Lions had an answering chance with a shot from Camryn Kime, but a good save kept FHU off of the board. Quick goals at 30:09 and 35:23 sent the teams to the break with FHU trailing 3-0.

It took a little under 30 seconds for Lindsey Wilson (7-4-3, 7-1-1 MSC) to open the second frame with a goal at 45:29. The next shot by the Blue Raiders at 63:14 also found the back of the net before wrapping up the scoring at 80:29.

FHU fired off six shots in the match, four of which were on target with Zoe Stom tallying two shots on goal. In goal, Latham recorded six saves with the Blue Raiders firing 18 shots toward her net.
