CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — In late February the Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lion soccer team added a new defender to their backfield by signing Northwest High School's Rachel Dollar.

Playing soccer in one form or another since she was five years old, Dollar began playing competitively in 2017 for Clarksville Soccer Club while competing for all four seasons on the Vikings' varsity squad.

In her 2022 campaign, Dollar tallied one goal and three helpers en route to earning All-Tournament Team accolades and the Coaches Award.

For Clarksville SC's 2021-22 season, the defender had one goal and two assists in her second year as the team captain. In 2017, she was the Clarksville SC 04 team's Player of the Year.

A true student of the game, if Dollar is not playing, she is a soccer referee. As an arbiter, she has been invited to referee the Tennessee State Cup and was honored as Tennessee's Young Female Referee of the Year.
