BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Drawing the No. 9 seed in the Mid-South Conference Women's Tennis Tournament, the Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions saw the final match of the day being the determining factor in a 4-3 loss to the No. 8 seed Georgetown (Ky.) College Tigers.

The Lady Lions (4-10) moved up Elise Kruzan and Morgan Brown to the No. 1 doubles court, but the duo fell 6-0. Winning the lone doubles match was Delfina Rodriguez-Molina and Hannah Peace who topped their Tiger opponents 6-2. Seeing the doubles point slip out of their fingers, FHU's Michelle Lancaster and Julianna Alves fell 6-2.

On the No. 3 singles court, Kruzan dropped her match 6-1, 6-0, while Rodriguez-Molina fell 6-1, 6-4. Brown picked up the first duel point over the Tigers (6-15) with a 6-2, 6-4 victory, while Peace topped her opposition 7-6, 6-4. Alves knotted up the match 3-3 by winning on the No. 2 court 6-0 before falling in the second frame 6-3. The senior battled back to win the final set 6-3, setting up the No. 1 court for the match-clincher. After falling in the first set 6-3, Lancaster forced a tiebreak in the second set, where the second-team All-MSC player reached seven first to win 7-6 (7-3). With the final set tied 4-4, the Tigers rattled off two quick game wins to claim the game, set, and match 6-4.
