Program records set at Austin Peay

The men's and women's track and field teams competed at a non-team scored meet at the Austin Peay State University Governors Classic on Friday, April 12, against teams from Austin Peay, Alabama-Huntsville, Belmont, Bethel, Cumberland, Fisk, Kentucky Wesleyan, Murray State, Tennessee State, UT-Martin, and Western Kentucky.

Strong performances were recorded by several athletes who set new FHU program records: Jade Ford in the javelin with a throw of 28.50 meters, Keelan Murphy in the javelin with a throw of 42.08 meters, and Sam Elliott in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:01.24.

Other personal best marks were set by Carlee Ilias and BrittLeigh in the 5K, Holly Bowman in the javelin, Hunter Short in the 100m, Josh Dykes in the 800m and 1500m, Matthew Holder in the 3000m steeplechase, and Philip Brock and Adam Dunlap in the 5K.
