Simpson, Johnson named scholar athletes

Brooke Simpson and Melissa Johnson from the Lady Lions outdoor track and field team were named national scholar athletes after maintaining a GPA higher than 3.5.

Simpson, a junior from Bowling Green, Kentucky, heads into her senior year with a 3.7 GPA as an Interdisciplinary Studies: Elementary Education major. Johnson, also a junior, has a 3.8 as a Child and Family Studies major.
