Lions in 8th after first day of Conference play

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The men's golf team played in the first and second rounds of the Mid-South conference tournament today at the Bowling Green Country Club. The Lions are tied for 8th place after shooting 318 and 311 for a 629 total. 

First for the Lions was Austin Warren. The junior shot 78 (+6)-76 (+4) for a 36 hole total of 154. This leaves him in a tie for 21st place. Junior Tyler Rhodes was two strokes behind Warren, shooting 80 (+8) -78 (+6). Next was senior Bowman Blocker and junior EJ Hill. Blocker shot 80 (+8)- 80 (+8) while Hill shot 83 (+11)- 77 (+5) giving them both a 36 hole total of 160. Rounding out the team's score was senior Wes Graham, shooting 80 (+8)- 88 (+16) for a 168 total. 

The Lions are currently tied for 8th place with Georgetown College (Ky.) They are one stroke behind Pikeville University (Ky.) and 13 strokes ahead of Thomas More University (Ky.) The final round begins tomorrow at 8am.
