Randall Rhodes takes over as golf coach, Chris Lankford to be assistant

The Freed-Hardeman University Lion and Lady Lion golf program will have a pair of new faces leading the way on the links beginning in the 2023-24 seasons with the announcement of the hiring of Randall Rhodes as Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach and his assistant coach, Chris Lankford.
50 student-athletes honored as NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athletes

Over the last few weeks, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced the 2023 NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athletes for competing spring sports. Freed-Hardeman University had 50 student-athletes chosen across baseball, men's and women's golf, softball, men's and women's tennis, and men's and women's track and field.

The Lions wrapped up the Coastal Georgia Winter Invitational by improving on their first and second round totals. The men's golf team shot 313 in the final round, which led them to a tie with Brewton-Parker (Ga.) College for 15th place.

The Freed-Hardeman golf team kicked off the 2023 spring season at the Coastal Georgia Winter Invitational. The Lions played 36 holes today with a first-round score of 339 and improved in the second round with a score of 320.
