KANSAS CITY, Mo. – One year after hosting the opening round of the 2022 NAIA Softball Championship, Tucker Field has been selected again as a host site for the 2023 NAIA Softball Opening Round.
In the 2022 edition, the Lady Lions lost the first game before storming back in the four-team, double-elimination tournament to punch their ticket to the NAIA Softball World Series in Columbus, Georgia.
Tucker Field is one of 10 sites selected based on geography, facilities, and host qualification. Tucker Field was honored in 2022 as the National Fastpitch Coaches Association's top field in the NAIA.
The four-team double-elimination tournament will begin on May 15 and run through May 17, with a trip to the final site - which begins on May 25 - on the line.
The tournament field, including the other three teams visiting Henderson, will be announced on Tuesday, May 9.
